Organization Emerging Technologies Advisory Group replaces the former The Library 2.0 Working Group and is charged with identifying and supporting knowledge discovery and exchange in the Web environment. The group will address the changing nature of online research and advise the Emerging Technologies Librarian about setting priorities for implementing Web developments. The advisory group will collaborate to identify a range of tools that promote scholarly discovery online. The group may form subcommittees, with additional membership from staff and students, to fast track innovative projects that make use of open source software technology (Browsing tools; Tagging/Folksonomy) or social networking tools (SecondLife; FaceBook). The group will coordinate with library staff in implementing Web changes to library pages and once implemented reach out to students, faculty and staff in assessing interest and usability.
